Fess Up Friday

Kendra at New Life On A Homestead has started a fun little carnival called Fess Up Friday that I decided to participate in.

I try really hard to keep a clean(ish) house while doing everything required of me during the day.  But, I have a room upstairs where very few enter (BWAHAHAHAHAA! - add eerie music) that is supposed to meet multiple functions for our family.  It's our school room/craft room.  At one point it was very organized and functional.  Now-a-days it usually looks something like this;

The computer/printer/copy machine table.  Notice the over-flowing trash can.

Sewing and school work in one big mangled mess.

The vacuum, papers waiting to be filed and a tote filled with God-only-knows-what.

I cleaned it all up.  But it only looks slightly better than this right now.  I swear I think the junk in there is breeding like rabbits.  It couldn't be my fault, after all!

So, there you have it!  I fessed up.  Aren't I supposed to feel better now?  Hmmm...

  1. Looks like a perfectly functional room to me :) Man, you should see how my office gets sometimes. Toys, empty food containers, papers papers papers, books, clothes... it's terrible. Don't feel bad, that's nothin'!

  2. Pam, you should see my husband's office! :) It's his organized mess. Feeling better now that you "fessed up?"

    Have a great day...not stressing about the breeding taking place in this room. lol

  3. I'm with Kendra: it looks like a perfectly functional room to me! It would be so much easier to keep the house clean if we didn't actually LIVE in it! :)

  4. OK in my house, I'd call that organization. Stacks are good. My excuse... if I clean it I won't be able to find anything.

    Thanks for venting... we all feel a little better.... maybe.

  6. Pshhh...aside from the garbage can, that looks CLEAN to me, lol!

    I like clean in the rest of the house...I like seeing tidy there. But in my craft room (which has a door on it to hide away my messes) I don't mind the clutter. In fact, as long as I can find what I need (putting things back each time I use them) I actually get much more accomplished in there than when it's pristine clean. Because then I don't want to 'mess' it up, and so put things off that I would normally do.

    I'm working right now on trying to find longer desk so that I can keep the sewing machines plugged in and ready to go when I need to use them.

  7. That looks ok to me!

    You should see my bar area! We don't use it to eat at because there is constantly stuff all over it! I clean it up and within a day its back to the same way! I think we all have a room, area or desk in our house like this! I swear if we all didn't have some sort of disorganization somewhere we'd go crazy! ;-)
