If anyone out there in Bloggy Land just happens to read this and has had experience in the past with the problem I'm having - could you show me a little blogger love and help me out? Pretty please with cherries on top?
My computer is acting up. On my last post I had pictures of my dogs that I wanted to put on my blog. It would go as far as to upload the pictures but as soon as I would hit the "DONE" button it would throw up a box that says "Internet Explorer has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience." Then it would completely kick me off of the Internet. I have tried re-starting the computer, deleting temporary files and emptying the recycle bin (although I have NO idea what that would have to do with anything). I am not very computer literate and am feeling slightly (a lot) desperate here.
Pleeeeeaaaaasseeee, Heeeeeellllllppppp Meeeeeee! Ok. I feel better now!
So, if any of you darling, sweet, helpful, beautiful, loving bloggers (Am I buttering you up enough?) have any advice for this just barely technologically literate enough to even have a blog, blogger (whew!) - I am open to and thankful for suggestions.

Pam, I can totally sympathize with you... I get so frustrated because I know nothing about computers. Unfortunately I was going to suggest deleting temporary files, because that does always seem to help me, but you say you've already done that. Every time I can't do anything (upload pix, do various other things), I try deleting temporary files and then everything magically works again... for a while... I hope someone is able to help you... ReplyDeleteDo you have an updated antivirus program? You can download AVG for free and it is a great one to use. That might help, you could have a nasty little bug that's preventing the upload.

I have had the experience where occasionally blogger just won't upload pictures & I've heard other bloggers lamenting about the same thing on the same day. So, that's possible also. Give it a try again in the a.m. :)

ReplyDeleteUsually when I get frustrated due to something like that, I do as some of the others suggested and shut it down and walk away from it for awhile. Sometimes is mysteriously resolves itself... if not, you might have to find yourself a high school computer whiz to have on hand in case it happens again.
